Thin Cut

Definition: A hit by one ball upon another, at a narrow cut angle close to ninety degrees. “Slicing” thinly the object ball by hitting it a sparing, glancing blow at an extreme angle.
Also Known As: Thin Hit
Examples:
A thin hit on the object ball tends to reduce the cue ball’s momentum only slightly.
