Definition: Pool game where the lowest number ball on the table must be struck first. Each ball is worth its number in points.
Sixty-one points (One half of the possible total of 120 plus one to gain the majority score) or more wins. Rotation often does not end until only the final 15-ball is sunk.
Pool games such as 9-ball, 7-ball and 6-ball requiring the lowest numbered ball to be hit are called rotation games (regardless of scoring individual balls as in Rotation or only the last ball for the win as in 9-ball).
Examples: Running the rack in Rotation is a great achievement due to the difficulty of making so many shots in consecutive order on a table that is "messy" with more than a dozen balls on its surface.
