The cuestick has moved through my shooting hand to rest along my right forefinger. I could look to my hand now, after the shot, for a confirmation of the finger curled over the stick.

My shoulder and upper arm have dropped—but it was either drop the arm or tear through the table’s felt cloth. The relaxed arm thrown through the shot has brought the cue along its original angle—butt above the ball pointed down through the cue ball's center—nearly two feet through the ball to near the cloth.

Important to note: The classic stroke is not the only stroke used in pool, even for simple center ball shots. Other strokes are covered elsewhere under this About.com topic.
