Here are yet more pool stance secrets for your archives. Begin to build a better pool stance--and better pool and billiards, today!

I give many stance tips throughout this About site and stance pro techniques but here are some more general practices that equal stance secrets to aid your pool game immediately.

Standing lower to the table: Helps many players aim better, especially on lengthy shots with the object ball far away from you, but at times too low can stress a back. It is tempting to keep trying to find a way "down" due to heightening accuracy of aim.

Standing higher: Helps the player see difficult angles on thin hits and the table better for position play.

Standing with head lowered and eyes raised in head: Allows for relaxed concentration on the "meat" of each ball. Really helps many pros to focus wholly on the target of the stroke.

Open stance with feet far apart from one another: Adds stability and balance, and is comfortable when body trunk is higher.

Narrow stance: Redirects the shooting arm to poise a bit more steeply to the table and move freely up to down in an arc.

Bring pad and pen and write down (as specifically as you can!) the positions and moves you are learning at the pool table to bring them back for future play sessions.
