Definition: The leather or other material accessory at the very top of the cuestick where the cuestick meets the cueball during the stroke. The tip may be used as a guide to aim by moving a tip distance (2 tips, 1½ tips, etc.) away from the center of the cue ball, providing a reference point for instruction, as in This shot as diagrammed should be played with one tip of right english.
