Force Draw Shots

Rushing forward

Moving at speed

Coming forward with vigor, I am hitting the cue ball with a cuestick that is rushing forward. The key here is that the cuestick moves with great speed to produce a lot of draw spin.

Great speed is different than great force or great muscle behind the shot. I am just beginning to put my body behind the shot as well, moving from my stance in place, unlike the classic pool stroke where the shooting arm is all that is in motion in the stroke.

The eleven is headed for the pocket and this stop action photo catches the cue ball just before its forward momentum wears down fully, leaving nothing but backwards facing underspin.
