Rack

By Matthew Sherman, About.com

Definition: 1.Table accessory, typically made of wood or plastic, holding pool balls firmly in place while they are placed for the opening shot or “racked”.

2. The action of preparing the balls with the rack accessory before the first shot of a game or "racking the balls".

3. Slang for an entire game or round of pool, one complete rack of balls cleared from the table. Note that a player can win a game of 8-ball sinking only eight of fifteen racked balls but will still refer to this achievement as "winning the rack" or if done in one turn at the table, "running a rack of 8-ball".

Examples:
I spent most of the day racking for my opponent after watching him win a game in one turn.
