Break Cue

Definition: A uniquely fashioned cuestick used specially to generate powerful break shots. Break cues often have an unusual weight or balance to build maximum speed for the cue ball.

The cue tip tends to become hard and slick quickly on a stick used to power break shots and space age composite materials have become popular in recent years, replacing the traditional leather cue tip for these cues only.

Examples:
After Jessica busted her $500 custom cue, she reconsidered buying a break cue for use on power shots.
