Bad Roll

By , About.com Guide

Definition: Slang for the occasional bad luck a player experiences when his ball buries itself in an undesirable location. Of course, luck plays a smaller role in a better player’s game than in a weaker player’s!
Examples:
"If it wasn't for that last bad roll, I'd have won the game," moaned Charlie to his pool shooting pals.
