One Rule to Ring Them All?

Roll with it, baby!

I get a thrill, a rush, watching a student's game get better just as if my own game had leaped forward. But to do so, the teacher must make what could quickly grow to become complex pool theory simple and approachable for the younger player.

My obsession for many years--to boldly go where no pool instructor has gone before--the search for a unifying theory of pool, correct alignment, grip, bridge and aim. My joy has been to unearth some basic ways to relate key concepts--toss, pull, push, thrust--for you as the reader to learn how to play pool, too.

The journey has been arduous, and is not yet complete. Many along the way are there to scoff, deny and argue. And yet, we will together reach pool greatness if we commit to learn from and with one another. Let the (grand) game begin!
