How does a three-day billiard game appeal to you? Two dudes might have just broken the billiard game marathon record.

Pals from Spring Lake, North Carolina recently decided to shoot pool for 52 hours or so... requiring intense concentration, not to mention loads of free time and perhaps, mild insanity.

They've posted videotaped records of their 600 billiard games to Guinness World Records and are awaiting confirmation that they've surpassed the current standing record of 50:02 set by two Britishers.

Of note, the marathoners, Brian Lilley and Dan Maloney, changed socks and shoes one time and further had fresh carpeting placed beneath their table during the match. Guinness rules allow for 5-minute breaks hourly and the occasional longer break from the action.

"I’m officially tired," said Lilley just before ending the run.

What's your longest stint at the tables?
