Comments from Alison Fisher...

I'd love to hear from you, as one who is giving pool lessons to others on a regular basis and occasional billiards lessons or seminars.

Alison Fisher: "One of the big things that we Rack Starz are accomplishing as pool players is stepping into different roles than we've taken in the past. We wanted to see the sport progress without putting in any work, if the men pros are out there, getting their faces out there, it takes work.

We've gotten more eyes to see the sport. This is what we're working towards--a fresh image, a fresh face for pool as a whole.

A lot of pool players simply show up to play pool and compete. But the Rack Starz have a work ethic behind their brand. An actual brand that show people there is a personality behind the player. The reality TV world we live in has branding, and Rack Starz is trying to capitalize.

As a pool teacher, I'd love to hear from you as someone who is giving pool lessons to others on a regular basis and occasional billiards seminars.

Amsterdam Billiards (the hall hosting the Rack Starz event) is a great example of what we're trying to accomplish, keeping their bar scene and the music they play is a fine balance. A separate section caters to walk-ins...

Now they're incorporating a Rack Star into it. All of us have given lessons. We're personable go to an amateur and say, "I used to be exactly where you are and I have the ability to elevate your game."

Not every pool hall is recognized for their competitiveness like Amsterdam. Every aspect of every pool hall is changing now, though... to get the younger than 18-year-olds involved."
