Many sporting activities have gone through makeover stages, creating new action-oriented twists on old games. Usually, this makeover begins with new, high tech gear people use to participate in their sport. From there, because of the enhanced performance achieved with the new gear, extreme versions of old sports are created.

Pneu Power Cues are the high tech gear component to our vision of "Xtreme Billiards". Pneu Power Cues Xtreme Billiards Gear is in no way intended to change or erase any of the traditional pool games. Our vision is to add another layer of choice, an "Xtreme" choice of pool games, for those that desire a bit more variety to their cue sports activities.

That said our version of an Xtreme billiard tournament requires that participants use point-and-shoot cue gear. (For point-and-shoot pool games you can also use a "Hot Shots Cue", invented for disabled players.

Xtreme billiards is interactive, using a large clock and buttons about six or seven feet to either side of a pool table.

For point-and-shoot pool games:

1) You can play your favorite games, 9-Ball, 8-Ball, Rotation, 14.1 Continuous Straight Pool, One Pocket, etc. and all local rules still apply.

2) Players and referees agree on shot clock length.

3) Total shot time is set on the giant countdown clock (we have models available now for tournament play).

4) The player that doesn't break starts the clock. Following the break, the breaking player must press one of the stop-start-reset buttons positioned around the table to stop game time:

a) If an object ball(s) are sunk on the break, the breaker's opponent resets the time and starts the clock as soon as ball movement has ceased.

b) If the breaking player fails to make a ball on the break, he must reset the time and start the clock for his opponent no sooner than all ball movement has ceased.

5) If the shooting player fails to stop the clock before time expires his inning even if he sank a ball. He must expeditiously reset and start the clock for his opponent.

6) Turns continue, racing against time, until the game ends.

The pool games timing component, because it is yet unfamiliar to non-pro players, is challenging and admittedly can be confusing for a short while. Point-and-shoot pool games gear takes a little getting used to also. Combine these challenges and you have a fun and fast day of Xtreme pool games fun.

Others have invented their own, unique, Xtreme cue sport games. [And I've used the Pneu Power Cue as a dynamic teaching tool, also. See my Pool Games Shootout story for more--editor]

As far as trick shot shows are concerned Pneu Power Cues are well suited because of their unique abilities. In the right hands they are extremely entertaining, a show in and of themselves. People are fascinated with their James Bond look and because they've never seen anything like them before in pool games or pool trick shots. It's fun for all.
