I just asked you to review the position of the board and guess the happy (unhappy?) result, first. If you haven't already, toggle back to "Winning Pool - The Passover Plop Shot - Do You Know This Technique?" before moving on.
Playing for exquisite 2-ball position with the cue ball, I hit the 1-ball more fully like a fool. The hapless stroke sent the 1-ball back and forth across the table to return home. Meanwhile, the cue ball just nipped the point of the side pocket to also fly back promptly to its starting position!
Since the game being played was Nine Ball, my opponent was basically forced to re-attempt my shot. He had decidedly different results.
Anyway, you know have this knowledge on tap for the point of a pocket in case need (or a foolish miss) should arise.
