Developed by Master BCA Instructor Tom Simpson and Joe Oshins (the men who created and patented the training device "Elephant Balls", which I heartily recommend, Triple Play, offers out-of-the-box challenges for those wishing to stretch their fun at pool.

Play according to the rules of 9-Ball with a few exotic twists:

1. Rack all 15 numbered object ball. Place the 1-ball in front, the 2- and 3-balls on the corners, and the 15 in the middle with the 5 and 10 directly behind the 15, creating a mini-triangle of three balls.

2. There are three “money balls”, the 5-, 10- and 15-balls.

3. Each money ball is worth 1 point. Play races to your chosen number of points, for example, 10 or 20 points.

4. Three consecutive scratches gives your opponent 1 point and not a game win.

5. Shoot until all three money balls are sunk. Re-rack then the player sinking the third and final money ball breaks.

Triple Play provides choice opportunities to attempt difficult, instructive and challenging shots--part of the fun of the game--but always be aware of the money balls' positions on the table!
