Grip

Definition: The way a player holds the cue stick with their shooting hand (dominant or controlling hand). Rarely the wrap of the cuestick where the hand is placed is called a grip area.
Examples:
For most players, a light grip will enable the smooth flow of motion to add power and spin at will to any shot.
