Begin by simply placing one cube of chalk along one rail of the table. Place the cue ball atop the cube, and aim your shot in a straight line into the object ball of choice, in this case the black 8-ball resting near the pocket. (Hey, I said this was an easy trick to do.)
Line up to the shot as in the classic pool stance, then shoot off the chalk instead of along the table or for added style points, hold your arm on its plane while lowering your body into position, then shut your eyes as pictured. Straight back and through should do it with ease.
Closed eyes I personally find helpful in case I miss, so I can avoid watching the audience's contemptuous derision. I will even shoot from beneath the table, head not appearing at all, for this reason and to avoid thrown objects from the angry crowd.
