Definition: An inlaid marker pool table manufacturers place atop the rails (sides) of table above its playing surface, providing an often convenient guide in aiming complex bank and kick shots.

Many of these inlays are fashioned in the shape of a diamond, and enhance a table’s beauty and value. Most tables contain twelve such markers.
