Top Jump Stroke
Stand to one side of the shot line, the line upon which the cuestick will travel. "Chicken wing" your shooting arm to the side, folding up your arm from the elbow so that the upper arm will not change elevation during the stroke.Vigorously move the shooting hand to stroke the cue ball. Your palm is facing down toward the floor. At address, your cuestick will be elevated as shown in the accompanying photograph.
Watch in amazement as the cue ball takes to the air after striking the object ball. With a few minutes' practice, you can make the cue ball jump into the air half a table away or more.
An unusual positioning weapon with applications limited solely by your pool imagination. This stroke is the first cousin of the regular jump stroke used to send the cue ball into the air immediately.
