Crazy Pool, Man (Woman)
Another Happy (Yet Surprisingly Ugly) Billiards AccidentImagine the recent crazy pool scene as I set it for you. Vivian “The Texas Tornado” Villarreal faces off against Kelly “Kwikfire” Fisher (here pictured) for a 9-ball battle for the ages. Villarreal is a former #1 women’s pro; “Kwikfire”, so nicknamed in part for the brand of cue stick she endorses, is the current top ranked female player on Earth.
Fisher lines up carefully to play safe on the 1-ball (as illustrated in our accompanying article) and pulls back her stroke to fire. All of a sudden, she goofs badly and…
It’s another unfortunate yet happy accident trick shot, here at About.com. Crazy pool!
What’s the “doofiest” shot you’ve ever made that worked for you? Be honest now, I’ve been (at least this week)! Photo courtesy Phil Cole/Getty Images

The craziest accidental made shot I’ve ever’pulled off’ was in a practice game of APA rules 8-ball. I didn’t feel like playing defense for whatever reason. I was on the 8 and all I had was a 2 rail cross corner bank, my opponant’s balls were blocking me everywhere else.
So I shoot the shot. I hit it with center ball/top but used too much of an elevated cue angle. You probably can guess what happened (the cue ball goes airborn towards the floor & certain defeat). Meanwhile, the 8 hits the rail and IT flies into the air too. The two balls met in mid air!!! & the 8 ball fired right into the pocket I called.
