Box Method of Aim

Sunday May 11, 2008
Drawing the box to measure aiming on any object ball.

The box method of aim is a handy tool in apool and billiards, especially if you visualization-challenged as I am. I get dizzy thinking about all the imaginary aim lines in pool, and I find this method helpful.

The orange line bisecting this box from the center of the pocket opening through the middle of the 6-ball (see story photo) indicates the contact point where the cue ball is to strike. It is extremely important in pool that one consistently thinks inside the box.
